If I had had this dress from the beginning I would have taken all my pictures in it! I love it. I'll probably still wear it after Baby gets here. Which I would love if it happened on Sunday. Father's day and the summer solstice? That would be an awesome birthday. :)

38 Weeks
I think Husband is more anxious for this baby to get her than I am. I however cannot stand temperatures above 73-ish degrees. Absolutely cannot. This means Husband is wearing sweaters at home and using bunches of blankets while I stay cool. Poor Husband. He's a good sport about it though.

One more month!
I tore off the May calendar page and said dejectedly, "There are so many days in June!"
Husband laughed at me.
I guess I really want to be done with this pregnancy thing.

More Dad Jokes
Husband and I were driving around in the car. Husband starts gushing about how cute Baby will be.
"...And he'll sit right there, in the back seat."
Pause.
"He'll be a Backseat Boy!"

Things Husband Says/Does
Husband walked out of the bathroom and said, "Want to see my tiny mouth?" I replied that I did. "Wait just a sec," he said as he turned his back on me.
I waited patiently for a few seconds, not at all sure what to expect.
When he turned around, he had made his mouth about 1/3 the size.
I wish I had a picture, it was hilarious.
It's times like these that I'm so glad I married him. I never know what is going to happen next.

The Dad Jokes Have Started
Husband asked me to come with him and walked into the nursery.
"This is his woom!" He said trying to be cute.
"No, THIS is his womb" I rebutted pointing to my baby bump.
"Now his womb is in his room!"

Bad Dream #2
So, I have bad dreams often. Usually someone chasing or trying to harm me or my family. I find that normal.
Husband has the funniest bad dreams.
He woke up this morning and told me his dream. He was trying to pick up some pies we bought and they wouldn't give them to him because he was trying to do his homework and couldn't remember which kind of pie they were. To make things worse I kept calling him and he couldn't answer. He said the worst part was the fact that he couldn't answer the phone.
Poor Husband. He couldn't get the pies.

Watch the baby move!
Baby is very active around 11pm and 5:30am (and other times too). Here's last night's performance! You can see me breath, and him move. He's so cute!!
This morning Baby was rather active as well. It felt like he was making sure the boundaries were still there. I could feel an appendage travel up and down my side several times, probably 5-6 times, poking as it went. I think he'll be an exciting child.

You guessed it, salt n' peppa's Push It.
Thanks random tv commercial.

Testing his limits
Baby moves. A lot.
As I was laying in bed yesterday morning not really awake, but not sleeping I could feel Baby moving, kicking, etc. I didn't think much of it. This has become a regular occurrence.
But Baby did something even more fun.

I think he was also wiggling his fingers the second time, but I can't be sure.

You can see him move!!
I don't know how long his movements have been visable, but they are! I was sitting on the couch talking with my family and I looked down because Baby started to wiggle. It looks like waves moving across my stomach. I'll try to get a video of it.

22 Weeks
It's surprising that some clothes still fit me. But I'm very grateful. I'd like to give a shout out to Mikarose for making a dress that still fits me at 22 weeks.
I doubt they intended for it to be a maternity dress, but I think it looks better on me now then it did before I was pregnant. Too bad it's probably one of the last times I'll be able to wear it before It just won't fit anymore.

The kicking continues.
Over the last few weeks I've started to really enjoy being pregnant. There is something comforting about feeling the little guy kick (except when its on my bladder).
In fact now it's a little unnerving if he hasn't kicked in a while.
A few nights ago Baby was really active I guess. I slept through it. Husband said he could feel thumping on the bed. I wasn't touching Husband, but he could feel Baby kicking the bed. He's a strong one.

Life forms ... Tiny little life forms ...
For the last few weeks I've noticed a lot of movement from the baby. I tried to describe this to Husband, but I'm not sure if I can really convey the feeling. But I'll try for you anyway.
Imagine being poked.
From the inside.
That's what it feels like. He usually does this several times in a row. And only one instance was he kicking my bladder. So far.
I've noticed he kicks even more when I'm in a position that squishes his space.
One night I moved so I laying on my side, but more like a three quarter turn so I wasn't completely on my stomach. I felt a kick. Then another. Ignoring them because I half asleep, I figured he'd stop. He likes to kick at night.
Kick. (Mom)
Kick. (Mom)
Kick. (Mom!)
(... She's not listening to me)
One. Giant. Leap! (MOM!)
It was so intense that I completely woke up. I have never felt anything like it. I believe he used all his tiny strength to push out in all directions.
Needless to say, I don't sleep like that anymore.

Word of the year
At a New Years party, the hosts gave us the challenge to use one word to direct our lives instead of making several resolutions. Everyone was picking words: determination, dedication, forgiveness etc. The host joked that his word was sleep.
I told my family I would be stealing his idea. I think they thought I was joking.
For the last few weeks, if I sleep on my right side, I have been having dull pain shoot down my right leg. Husband thinks it sciatica.
Last night, I started on the right side and eventually I had to roll over. This is fairly normal since I can't sleep on my stomach anymore. It's uncomfortable. Once on my left I started getting sharp throbbing pain behind my right hip.
So... Let's recap. I can't really sleep on my stomach, I can't sleep on my back (after about 4 months it can cut off blood flow to the baby), and both sides were just ruled out.
I grabbed my pillow and tried to be at a slight angle but not quite on my stomach. Baby Boy wasn't having it. Have you ever been tapped on the shoulder by someone really annoying and they just wont stop? Now imagine that from inside your abdomen. Baby isn't that big yet, but he can kick. And kick.
Cue slight mental breakdown at 3am.
My minor freakout woke up Husband.
Poor Husband. :(

Husband and Baby
To stomach, "Hi Baby!!"
To me, "I have to bond with it, otherwise I'll reject it. I've seen National Geographic!"
